Q Select one topic and write a two page mini-essay. In your response make reference to at least two of the Tales, Sketches, or other readings from Irving that we have studied in The Sketchbook.
Washington Irving was an American author who transcended the barrier between the two nations and became the first author whose writing was popular in both the nation, England and America. He being self-educated was an average student but his interest in learning and study lead him to this beautiful world of literature. He started writing with the pseudonyms and later too continued with it. His first writing with his brother “Salamagundi” with the name Diedrich Knickerbocker was the start of the journey as a writer ("Does Washington Irving style and tone relate to “Rip Van Winkle”?", 2018).
